Lightning Wear started in 2006.  We found that the current sports apparel market was lacking a reliable source for team uniforms and apparel.  So, we learned the hard way.  First we started off importing from overseas.  But we soon learned that you needed deep pockets to replenish inventory and fill orders.  So after experimenting with some domestic cut and sew companies, we set up shop in house.  Our biggest product at the time was pinnies. To this day, we boast that we brought life and excitement to the old reversible gym pinnie.  In early 2008, we launched the lacrosse pinnies designer site.  We were so busy that year that we had to turn our site off in order to keep up with the demand.

Sadly, by 2010 other bigger players entered in to the market.  And google set up their adwords campaign.  Until this time, we had a complete control of the market.  So we adapted to the change by growing the dye sublimation business.   This involved purchasing very expensive and labor intensive machines and products.  And with that purchase came a huge learning curve.  In the beginning, we had no clue what we were doing.  Ten years later, we dominate the domestic manufacturing market.  And we learned so much along the way.
